Enable self-deleting messages in Whatsapp
End-to-end encryption technology prevents anyone intercepting your messages from accessing your messages. However, they will not be able to protect you from being hacked into your device or the gadget of your interlocutor.
To enable the deleted messages mode in Whatsapp:
1. Go to the chat where you want to enable disappearing messages and go to the chat options.
2. Click on “Disappearing Messages” .
3. Select the option “Enable”.
Sorry, you can’t set a specific deletion time. All messages sent to the chat will be automatically deleted exactly one week later.
It is important to note that the function does not protect you from screenshots, does not delete files saved on the device, and does not block the ability to restoring messages from a backup. Learn more about the feature in the Whatsapp help center.
