Extracting device boot animation
Almost every digital device has a boot animation . It is displayed when the device is turned on. For Android firmware, the animation is the logo of the manufacturer or the firmware itself.
For example, for Xiaomi smartphones, this is the logo “MIUI” , and on Google Pixel devices it is the letter “G”. For almost all Android firmware, animation is located along the path "/system/media/bootanimation.zip" .
It can be removed with the help of conductors. You may need root rights. But in our case, we were able to access the folder without them:
1. Install Solid Explorer.
2. Go to app settings.
3. Activate the function “Show root partition” / “Show root storage”.
4. Go to section “Root”.
5. Open “/system/media”.
6. Copy the file "bootanimation.zip" to the device's memory.
File "bootanimation.zip" – archive that consists from individual frames of the loading animation. It may contain several folders “part*”, it also contains a file “desc.txt”, which contains animation settings, speed and frame rate.
