Honda has presented the concept of the first electric bicycle in its history. The model received the not particularly sophisticated name e-MTB, but its equipment is impressive.
The Honda e-MTB uses components that are commonly found in racing motorcycles. This ebike features a Brose front bottom bracket motor, SRAM Eagle AXS drivetrain, Shimano hydraulic disc brakes, Fox shocks front and rear, RockShox Reverb seatpost, and wheels with DT Swiss rims and Maxxis Minion DHF tires. The battery is built into an aluminum frame equipped with backlight.
There is no data on the speed and range of travel from one charge, which is quite normal considering that this is a prototype, which will only have to be tested by professional cyclists. It is also unknown at what price it will be sold, but you can obviously count on several thousand dollars.
