If you need to change the “This PC” icon, the recycle bin, folder, and some other system locations, you can do so easily with the built-in tools of the system.
To set custom icons for system folders:
- Press “Win + I” to open the “Settings” window.
- Go to the “Personalization” section → “Themes”.
- On the right, select the “Desktop Icon Settings” option.
- You can choose either an icon from the system suggestions or your own custom icon.
- Tap “Change Icon”.
To change the folder icon, right-click on it and open “Properties”. Go to the “Customize” tab and press “Change Icon”. As in the previous method, specify the desired icon.
