Wi-Fi signal strength affects the quality of your Internet connection. In Windows, you can use PowerShell to determine the current Wi-Fi signal strength and list all available wireless networks with their technical parameters.
To do this:
- Start the PowerShell console (click on Start).
- The “netsh wlan show interfaces” command will display all the parameters of the current wireless connection.
- The “Signal” field will show the exact signal strength. The value is indicated in percent.
To find out the signal strength of all available Wi-Fi points, use the command “netsh wlan show network mode=bssid”. The console will display detailed information on all available connections.
