The Google Chrome browser allows you to create a shortcut to your favorite website on your Windows desktop. If you like to browse one or more websites regularly, you may find this built-in feature useful.
To do so:
- Launch your browser and open the website you want.
- In the upper right corner, click the “Settings” icon → “Advanced Tools” → “Create Shortcut…”.
- In the pop-up that appears, name the shortcut and check “Open in separate window”.
Click Create.
A new shortcut will appear on the desktop, which will create a special new window and open the site in it. The window is not like a browser, it will not be possible to close the tab and go to another site. But you still have the ability to translate the page.
