How to enable reading mode in the Chrome browser.
By default, read mode is not available in Chrome, but you can activate it by using the appropriate flag on the experimental features page. In addition, there is an alternative way to add a similar function using extensions, which we will discuss below.
How to activate reading mode in Chrome
To activate the reading mode, go to the experimental functions menu. To do this, enter chrome://flags in the browser's address bar. You can find the desired flag in the search box by the name Enable Reader Mode, or by going to the direct address chrome://flags/#enable-reader-mode .

This parameter is set to Default by default. To enable the function, select Enabled from the drop-down list. After that, confirm the change and restart the browser with the Relaunch button.

How to use read mode in Chrome
After activating the reading mode, its icon will appear in the experimental features section of the browser's address bar on all supported pages. To go, click it and the page will load in a minimalistic interface without any distractions.

To get out of read mode, click the icon again and the page is reloaded into the standard form. If you click on the icon with the letter A in the upper-right corner, a compact settings window opens, allowing you to choose the font, its size and background shade for comfortable reading.
