Windows 10 offers several performance modes to choose from. By default, the "Balanced" mode is active.
However, if you are the owner of a modern PC and want to get the most out of your hardware, you can activate the "Maximum Performance" mode, which appeared in Windows 10 1803.
This mode is designed for powerful desktop PCs. It is not recommended to use on laptops, as high battery consumption is possible.
Open "Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Power Supply". In the Advanced schemas section, select the Maximum Performance mode.
If this mode is not present, then run the following command on the command line and the mode will appear:
powercfg -duplicatescheme e9a42b02-d5df-448d-aa00-03f14749eb61
