How to prevent apps running in the background on Windows 10?

OS Windows

Every app that runs in the background consumes battery resources and slows down the PC. Background programs can continue to run even if you have closed or not opened them at all.

Background data updates are required for applications such as Calendar, Weather, and Email. But for most others, there is no need to hang in the background.

Open "Settings -> Privacy". Scroll down and click on "Background Apps".

You can prevent all apps from running in the background by turning off the topmost switch. Or prohibit each application from working in the background separately.
