How to set a password for any application on Samsung smartphones?
The topic of privacy is especially relevant, because no one wants to leave their important data on a smartphone for outsiders to see. Applications that you do not want to share with others can be hidden from prying eyes and protected with a password.
Samsung smartphones have a separate built-in function for this – the Knox secure folder. It stores your files, images, and applications in a separate area of your smartphone’s memory that you can’t just get into.
To create a Knox folder:
1. Open “Settings”, select “Security” → “Knox Folder”.
2. Wait for the folder to be created and click the Continue button to accept the permissions for the Knox folder.
3 . After creating the folder, the welcome screen will appear, click Continue again.
4. The first time you enter a secure folder, select the lock type: pattern, password, PIN, or biometrics.
5. You can move the desired files or applications to the secure folder using the corresponding buttons inside the folder itself.
Since the Knox folder uses a separate area of the smartphone’s memory, you can add the application to the secure folder and delete it from your phone. Thus, the application will not be displayed in the working area of your phone, but you will be able to access it from a protected folder.
