Word contains a built-in function that reads the specified text fragments.

To use it, go to the "File" tab, then "Settings" and open the "Quick Access Toolbar" section, then "Speak". 

In the "All Commands" section, add the button to the appropriate location (for example, on the Quick Access Toolbar). When you press the play button, the selected text will be read aloud.

During playback, a panel will appear in the upper-right corner, where there is a pause button, as well as a slider for changing the speed of reading text, selecting the voice of a woman or a man.

Note: Depending on the version of the program and the license (official, hacked), the location and availability of items may differ.
