Change the username in Windows
For identification The user is given a specific name when the operating system is installed. It can be assigned by default or entered by the user.
Changing the name is a rare need, but it does happen sometimes. This is especially true when a mistake was made when registering a new account or several accounts (administrative or guest) are created.
Unfortunately, the developers did not add the option to quickly change the name to the system settings. Despite this, it is possible to rename an account with a few clicks.
To change the username:
1. Press the key combination Win
+ R and in the window that appears, enter the command “netplwiz”.
2 . The user account setup window will open. From the list provided, select the account you want to rename.
3. Click “Properties” and enter a new username.4. Next, tap “Apply” → “OK”.
