User-Agent is a string that applications use to pass customer information to sites. It includes:
– Operating system data.
– Browser name and version.
– Other information identifying the user.
User-Agent example: "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit /537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/72.0.3626.142 Safari/537.36"
This line is often used to creating a unique user fingerprint. But it can be easily changed. For example, using the extension Random User-Agent.
The add-on is open source, does not take up much space, does not contain ads, and automatically replaces the User-Agent line.
When you click on the extension icon in the browser, you can:
– Generate a new User-Agent.
– Select browsers for automatic generation.
– Disable/Enable the extension.
– Specify the time for automatic update of the User-Agent.
– Register User-Agent manually.
