Configure and disable notifications on Android
If your device has a lot of applications, then your notification panel is clearly cluttered with notifications from games, applications, as well as system alerts. Yes, you may be one of those who views and responds to all alerts, but this is too unrealistic. You can set notifications to receive only system notifications.
Instructions will be for different versions of Android
Android 4.1-4.4
1) Go to “Settings”
2) Open the application settings (The item may differ depending on the version of Android)
3) Select the program in which we want to turn off notifications, go to it and uncheck “Show notifications”
or
1) In the notifications panel, hold your finger on the app for which you want to turn off notifications
2) Tap on the highlighted item “About the application”
3) Uncheck “Display notifications”
Android 5.0 and above
1) Go to “Settings” (You can go through the quick menu by swiping down and pressing the gear)
2) Go to “Sounds and Notifications”, go to “App Notifications”
3) Select the program in which we want to turn off notifications, go to it and click “Block” so as not to receive notifications from the application
or
1) Hover your finger on the app you want to turn off notifications for and click on the “Application Information” icon on the right side of the notification
2) Click on “Block” to block notifications from the app
Turn off notifications on the lock screen
1) Go to “Settings”
2) Go to “Sounds and notifications”
3) Switch the setting from “Show all notifications” to “Do not show notifications”
