This week on 10Alert: Microsoft pushes a new test version of Windows 10 Redstone 2 (build 14926). The new update brings visual changes to the Settings app, Microsoft Edge gets a Snooze button and improved Favorites. The software maker notes that some users may have to wait until November to receive the Windows 10 Anniversary Update due to possible compatibility issues.
Cumulative update KB3189866 rolls out for those users running Windows 10 version 1607 bumping the build number to 14392.187. The new update fixes various issues with peripherals and improves the security of the operating system. In addition, Microsoft also releases KB3185614 for version 1511, and KB3185611 for the initial version of Windows 10.
Rumors strongly suggest that Microsoft will discontinue its Lumia smartphone line by the end of the year, and it seems that the Microsoft Band is doomed to suffer the same fate.
