System protection is responsible for creating restore points that can be used to restore your computer to its previous state. System rollback helps you fix problems and fatal errors that have occurred on your PC.
To enable system protection:
- Press “Win+R” and run the command “systempropertiesprotection”.
- In the “System Properties” window that opens, in the “System Protection” tab, in the “Protection Settings” section, select the disk you need and click “Configure”.
Activate the “Enable system protection” option and specify the maximum amount of disk space to be used by the System Restore feature. As the allocated space fills up, the old restore points will be deleted and replaced with the new ones. - Apply the changes to return to the previous window.
The system disk protection setting will change its status to Enabled. You can now manually create a Windows restore point by clicking the “Create” button in the same window.
In order to roll back the system to the desired point, enter “Restore” in the system search. This will open the desired section of the control panel, where you can manage your system restore options.
