Not many people know that Windows has built-in tools to check the integrity of system files. The system restores missing or corrupted system files.
Use it if some Windows functions are not working or the system terminates unexpectedly. To scan system files, type “Command Prompt” in the search bar and open it as Administrator.
Type the command “sfc /scannow” in the terminal. The system will check all protected system files and replace corrupted files with their cached copy located in the compressed folder at %WinDir%\System32\dllcache.
Do not close this command prompt window until the check is 100% complete. The results of the check will be displayed after this process is complete. If violations are detected, the utility will try to repair them.
