Google has released the 88th version of the Chrome browser. Here are the main innovations:
Dark Theme Improvements
The page scroll bars of the browser’s internal pages are now dark in color: settings, history, etc.
End of FTP
The browser no longer supports ftp:// links, as the protocol does not have encryption, unlike FTPS.
Mac OS X Yosemite
Google is officially ending support for Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite in Chrome 88. Apple itself has not supported Yosemite since 2017.
Less intrusive notifications
Chrome 88 is experimenting with a less intrusive way to request permissions.
Instead of a pop-up window covering the website content, a new bar appears to the left of the address bar.
