As a rule, the average person has more than a dozen different applications installed on his or her computer. Each of them performs a specific function. You can set certain restrictions for all applications, including prohibiting them from accessing the Internet.

To prohibit an application from accessing the Internet:

  1. open the Control Panel (the easiest way to find it is through a search).
  2. Among the list of items, find the ”Windows Defender Firewall” item (looks like a wall with a globe behind it).
  3. Click ”Advanced Settings”, then in the menu on the left ”Rules for Outgoing Connection“.
  4. In the menu on the right, click ”Create Rule.
  5. In the window that opens, go through all the items to create a rule.

When creating a rule, select: \ “For program” \ → path to the program \ → “Block connection” \ → leave all three profiles active \ → at the end give the rule a name so that you can identify it later if necessary.
