Night light is a new feature that has been introduced on Windows 10 starting with the Creators Update to reduce eye strain. Similar to Night Shift from Apple and Androidâs Night mode, Night light reduces the blue light emitted by the display to help your eyes not to get fatigued when working long hours at night and improve sleep quality.

How to fix Night light on Windows 10
Warning:Â Itâs important to note that modifying the Registry can cause serious problems if not done properly. You should proceed only if you know what youâre doing, and if you have created a full backup of your system before proceeding.

Use the Windows Key + R keyboard shortcut open the Run command.

Type regedit and click OK to open the Registry.

Browse the following path:
HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionCloudStoreStoreCacheDefaultAccount

Inside the âDefaultAccountâ (folder) key, right-click and delete the following two keys (folders):
$$windows.data.bluelightreduction.bluelightreductionstate $$windows.data.bluelightreduction.settings
Reset Night settings on Windows 10

Restart your computer.
Once you completed the steps, the Night light settings will be reset, and the feature should start working again â just try to configure it one more time.
Usually, when youâre having problems with Night light, the issue is likely to be the video driver, as such another thing you can do is to reinstall or update your video driver to the latest version.
