April 18, update v4.22 for Nokia 9 PureView was published, which was supposed to improve the performance of the fingerprint scanner and the screen itself.
But it turned out the other way around…
After the update, it became possible to bypass the phone’s fingerprint lock with a simple chewing gum. This is demonstrated in the attached video.
For the safety of users, it is recommended to enable the lock by PIN code or face recognition. And also expect “update for the current update”.
