Activate extended clipboard in Windows
Clipboard is an intermediate data storage, the purpose of which is to transfer or copy information between different applications, using standard functions Windows operating system – “Copy” ( Ctrl
+C), “Cut” (Ctrl
+X), “Paste” (Ctrl
+V
).
When using the normal clipboard you can only paste the last copied data. The data that you copied earlier is not saved. But if you are a Windows user, you can use the extended clipboard.
To use the functionality, press the key combination “ Win+V
“. If you have not previously activated the extended clipboard, the system will notify you in a separate window and offer you to enable this functionality.
In the clipboard you can see all the copied data, including images. You can use them at any time and in any order. The file size in the clipboard (text, HTML and images) is limited to 4 MB.
It is worth remembering that the clipboard is cleared when the PC is turned off/restarted. In this case, only the pinned data blocks will remain in it. In addition, if the buffer overflows (if there are more than 25 elements in it), the log is cleared automatically, deleting the oldest data first.
