Argentina declares Jalisco New Generation Cartel a ‘terrorist’ group

Argentina designated the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) as a 'terrorist' group to enhance international cooperation against transnational crime, including cyber-enabled operations. This move targets criminal infrastructure and financial networks used for ransomware, fraud, and extortion, affecting regional governments, private sector entities, and law enforcement agencies across Latin America and the U.S.

President Javier Milei's office said the designation is meant to 'strengthens international cooperation' against crime.
