Humanity must race to regulate artificial intelligence: who wins could plausibly prove pivotal for the world

Let’s not get distracted by cloudy questions of whether super-smart synthetic intelligence can feel and think like humans do. We need rules on bots in human guise, the harms they cause and much more as this humanity-rivalling technology evolves.
