Firefox started blocking video with autoplay
This feature was introduced in yesterday’s update Firefox up to version 66. Blocked video can be viewed directly by clicking on the play button.
Blocking does not affect sites where the video is played without sound or popular streaming services. For example, YouTube and Netflix.
To enable the announced feature:
1. Click on the “i” button in the browser address bar.
2. Click on the gear at the item “Permissions” .
3. Check the box “Do not allow websites to automatically play sound”.
If necessary, you can specify a white list of sites that are allowed to automatically play video with sound.
To check or update your version of Firefox, click on the menu item “Help” and select “About Firefox”.
