In Word, you can quickly and conveniently represent numbers, numbers, or amounts in decimal form. For example, translating the number 1234 to decipher “one thousand two hundred and thirty-four” will be done automatically and without your involvement.
To do this:
- Press the key combination “Ctrl+F9” in the right place of the text field. A shaded box with curly braces will appear in the text.
- Inside the curly braces, insert a construction of the form “{ =1234 *CardText }”, where 1234 is any number you want to see in capital letters.
- Then press the “F9” key to see the finished result.
The “*CardText” key outputs the result as numerals (written in words). By default, lowercase letters are used. Unfortunately, the function works only with numbers up to 6 digits, and rounds the fractional part to a whole number.
