Increase Internet speed in Windows
Every computer user who has an Internet connection would like to get the maximum speed. By default, the operating system settings set the Internet bandwidth limit.
The Packet Scheduler limits the reservation for the system to 80 percent of the connection bandwidth, but you can override the default value.
To increase your Internet speed:
1. Press the key combination “WIN
+ R
” and in the window that appears, enter the command: “gpedit.msc
“, after entering tap “OK”.
2. In the editor window that opens, in the menu on the left in the section “Computer Configuration” , open the tab “Administrative Templates”.
3. Next, expand the folder “Network ” and open “QoS Packet Scheduler”.
4. In the right window, double-click to open the section “Limit reserved bandwidth”.
5. Set the marker to “Enabled”, and in the field “Bandwidth limit” enter “0”. Save changes.
