According to Forbes, Rostelecom obliged its top and middle managers to use smartphones with the Aurora operating system. This happened after Rostelecom increased its stake in the Open Mobile Platform company, which is developing Aurora, to 99.99%.
In total, Rostelecom has issued more than two hundred smartphones based on Aurora; company managers will have to use them in their work. Forbes sources say that some employees have been using such smartphones as engineering devices for a long time, and the massive transition of management to them has only just begun.
There are less than a hundred applications available on Aurora, including many popular services in Russia. By the end of the year, the RuStore application store will be adapted for this OS, but developers will have to independently port their projects from Android to Aurora.
