The corporation is officially announced its first generative artificial intelligence model “Gauss” at the Samsung AI Forum in Seoul.
Gauss includes three key models: Samsung Gauss Language, Samsung Gauss Code and Samsung Gauss Image.
▫️Gauss Language is a generative language model, designed for working with text, including composing emails, document summarization and content translation.
▫️Gauss Code and coding assistant, which will help developers write code through a specialized chatbot interface.
▫️Gauss Image – generative model, which generates and edits images, changing their style, adding details and converting low resolution images to high resolution images.
Samsung’s AI Red Team is currently reviewing models for potential security and privacy issues.
Samsung employees are already using Gauss to improve productivity.
☝🏻According to Korea Times, Gauss will be integrated into the upcoming Galaxy S24, which, As expected, will be released early 2024, And will be able to work locally on the device.
Interesting, that Samsung was previously in talks with OpenAI about corporate use of ChatGPT, but refused to cooperate due to potential security issues.🤔
