Xiaomi recently released its flagship smartphones, the Xiaomi 14 series, which run its own HyperOS operating system. Formally, these are the first devices that work with this OS, but they will remain exclusive to China for some time, and in the meantime, Xiaomi is preparing to release firmware that will replace MIUI with HyperOS on some older models.
According to GSMChina, the first smartphone that can be installed with HyperOS outside of China will be Xiaomi 12T. The update is expected to be released within two weeks, and its distribution will be gradual – first in some countries, then in others, and then in all others.
The update to HyperOS should bring several new features to the Xiaomi 12T model. It is known that this operating system is based on Android 14.0 (or rather, on the AOSP code that underlies Android), but elements of the unified Xiaomi ecosystem have been added to it.
