If you use the camera on your iPhone often, you’ve probably noticed that iOS attaches geolocation to your photo. This feature is enabled by default, and many users are not even aware of it.
In general, it’s useful because you can always find out where a photo was taken on your iPhone, but sometimes this option can seriously mess with your reputation or give away a location when you don’t need it. Fortunately, iOS provides an option to turn off geolocation on photos or change it.
To do so:
Find the photo you want to share.
At the top, next to the location marker, tap on “Settings.”
From the drop-down menu, tap “Change Geo-Position.”
In the new window, select “No Geo-Position” if you want to remove it altogether, or enter a new address so that the point in the metadata changes.
