The average daily consumption time of social networks, taking into account Telegram, after September 21 increased by 8% – up to 61 minutes, Vedomosti writes with reference to Mediascope data.
Telegram demonstrates the greatest growth in this indicator – users spent an average of 36 minutes in it, which is 28% more than in February.
At the same time, TikTok still remains the leader, despite the restrictions imposed by the social network regarding users from Russia. In September, Russians daily used this social network for an average of 71 minutes, which is 11% less than in February. VKontakte showed an increase in daily consumption time by 2% – up to 46 minutes, and in OK it decreased by 9% – up to 29 minutes.
Most of all, the indicator fell for the social networks Instagram and Facebook, which are banned in Russia, owned by Meta, which was recognized as extremist and banned in Russia. Instagram spent an average of 16 minutes in September (-60%), Facebook — 7 minutes (-53%).
